“Of all the houses we have stayed at in the Catskills this is by far our favorite with outstanding marks for style, cleanliness and comfort.  Starting with the house, it is bright and airy and there are many cozy nooks to curl up with a book or the paper.  The kitchen is stocked for real cooking and we ate around the massive round table but tended to save our drinks for the screened in dining room after dark. We would wholeheartedly recommend Olive Woods House.  We will be back!”

The house is in a beautiful location - convenient and close to many beautiful spots in High Falls, Stone Ridge, Accord, Woodstock and Kingston. The hosts are super responsive and the house is in great condition. The decoration is beautiful and there’s everything a family needs to cook and have a great time. The beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We loved watching the stunning sunset every day from the living room; the view of the mountains is hard to beat. Even the neighbors across the street were so nice and friendly. We would definitely rent this house again without thinking twice.”

“The Olive Woods House was the perfect retreat for our family of four. It was both beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, with an impressive attention to detail. All our needs were thoughtfully accounted for during our two-month stay. “We loved our month at Olive Woods this summer. The house is light and bright, with lots of windows and built-in reading spots in the living areas, while the bedrooms face ferns and forest in back. The owners have created a warm and welcoming home, outfitting it in a modern Cali boho style, with a great mix of quality furnishings (including comfortable beds) and decorative touches. You can tell they put a lot of thought into everything in the house, which is well organized and equipped, and they were very responsive to any questions. Our family practically lived on the screened-in porch—writing, eating, and playing games at the large table and enjoying its mountain-sunset views. Set back on a quiet country road, the house offers several other outdoor spaces as well, including a hammock, a long front lawn, a fire pit, and a back deck. It’s close to the Ashokan reservoir and rail trail and convenient to Kingston, Stone Ridge, High Falls, Accord, and Woodstock. We are already planning our next stay at Olive Woods.”
